About Mammoth
Mammoth Mountain is a world-class ski resort located in the Eastern Sierra mountains. With 25 lifts, 3,500 acres of skiable terrain, and 3,100 vertical feet, Mammoth has something for everyone. If you prefer steep terrain, meticulously groomed runs, or a state-of-the-art terrain park you can find it here. And by coming to Mammoth before the holidays, you can have it all with no crowds.
Mammoth Mountain has one of the longest ski seasons in North America, beginning in Mid-November and ending at the end of May or later (sometimes July 4th weekend!). Even in low snow years, opening in November is top priority for the resort. Ski teams come from all over the world to start their season at Mammoth, and the operations crew makes sure they have world-class conditions. So while everyone else waits until Christmas, you can skip the holiday crowds and enjoy a week in heaven with wide open runs, fresh snow, and California sunshine.
